BE YOUNG™ - Omega-3 Food Oil (Tabletop) is crafted from the finest hand gathered, hand sorted and perfect flax seeds. Our oil is extracted using a scientific cold-pressed method, which ensures all the essential nutrients from the flax seed are retained and protected. The result is a healthy oil that is light in colour and has the scent and taste of a perfect flax seeds. Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a precursor to the essential omega-3 fatty acid that partly and inefficiently converts into DHA and EPA more active omega-3s in the body. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress; it is an important vitamin that has many functions within the body.

Why should we add Flaxseed oil to our food?

Because Flaxseed Oil helps in:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome. Research suggests that flaxseed oil helps to improves symptoms and wrist function in people with carpal tunnel syndrome who wear a wrist splin.
  • Foot sores in people with diabetes. Research shows that taking flaxseed oil twice daily for 12 weeks may help foot ulcers to heal faster in people with diabetes.
  • Bipolar disorder. Flaxseed oil improve symptoms of mania or depression in children with bipolar disorder.
  • High levels of cholesterol or other fats (lipids) in the blood (hyperlipidemia). Although early research suggested that flaxseed oil helps lower cholesterol.
  • Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis). There is some evidence that increasing the amount of linolenic acid in the diet can help to prevent hardening of the arteries. Flaxseed oil contains linolenic acid.
  • Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Early research suggests that taking flaxseed oil improve attention, impulsiveness, restlessness, and self-control in children with ADHD.
  • Breast cancer.  Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid, it protect against breast cancer.
  • Heart disease. Men and women who consume more alpha-linolenic acid in their diet seem to have a reduced risk of having a heart attack. Flaxseed oil is one source of alpha-linolenic acid
  • Dry eye. Some early research suggests that taking flaxseed oil might reduce irritation and symptoms of dry eyes in people with a condition called Sjogren’s syndrome and  reduce symptoms of dry eye and increase tear production.
  • Long-term kidney disease (chronic kidney disease or CKD). Swelling (inflammation) can occur in people on hemodialysis for CKD. Taking flaxseed oil  help to decrease this swelling.
  • High blood pressure. Flaxseed oil helps to reduce blood pressure and the risk of developing high blood pressure.
  • Parkinson disease. Early research shows that taking flaxseed oil for 12 weeks can improve symptoms of Parkinson disease.
  • A hormonal disorder that causes enlarged ovaries with cysts (polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS). Research suggests that taking flaxseed oil for 12 weeks might lower triglyceride and insulin levels in women with PCOS.
  • High in Antioxidants & Lignans. Low ALA is connected to skin problems and because flaxseed oil is high in ALA, it may support skin health. Research shows flaxseed oil may help with reducing skin cell inflammation and promoting skin regeneration.
